2009 Iowa DOT maps now available

';Available at interstate highway rest areas, Iowa’s 19 welcome centers, DOT driver’s license stations and DOT district offices.';

The 3.1 MB download is available at http://www.iowadotmaps.com/ . These PDF maps give a different and frequently better, view than the computer generated maps at Google or Maporama. Maps are very clear at 100% zoom.

';The text in the electronic PDF version of the 2009 Transportation Map has been embedded allowing users to search for text strings such as city names.'; This does not work at all well. I can find the Des Moines River, but not the city of Des Moines. These searches are done better with Google.

County and city maps are also available. The impatient obsessive traveler can order paper maps.
