Restaurants near Jordan Creek

My extended family is here for Easter weekend. Ranging in age from mid 80%26#39;s to 17.

We%26#39;re staying close to Jordan Creek Mall. Obviously, there are dozens of chain restaurants in the area.

I%26#39;m looking for either the best of those, or any non-chain restaurants that are reasonably close.

Thanks for any ideas.

Restaurants near Jordan Creek

There is a restaurant called Fire Creek Grill on Mills Civic Pathway (near the interstate).

For chains you can%26#39;t really go wrong with Bravos (Italian) or PF Changs (Chinese) in the mall complex.

On University Avenue there are more restaurants. Chains- Biaggis, Macaroni Grill (Italian), Granite City, Cheddars (American).

There is a very good seafood restaurant called the Waterfront. http://www.waterfrontseafoodmarket.com/

There is also a very, very good Thai place.

For something different, try Mythos Grill for crepes (savory or sweet) or panini. (It also offers entrees, but the crepes and panini are so good that I%26#39;ve never ordered anything else.) Mythos is in Bridgewood Plaza, across Jordan Creek Pkwy. from the mall.

Red Robin is a chain, but it offers burgers, wraps or salads for just about anyone%26#39;s taste. It%26#39;s located along Mills Pkwy., between Jordan Creek Mall and I-35.

The West End Diner is about a 10 min. drive away, near Valley West Mall. Take the 35th St. exit off of I-235 in West Des Moines. Turn north (toward the mall), then left on Westown Pkwy. to find the diner. The food ranges from typical diner fare (e.g., meatloaf) to more unusual options (e.g., salmon burger).

The Club Car is a 10 min. drive from Jordan Creek also, though it%26#39;s on University Ave. in WDM (east of the intersection with Jordan Creek Pkwy.). It has wonderful soups, sandwiches and quiche.

Enjoy!

Definitely Fire Creek Grill. You won%26#39;t be disappointed. There%26#39;s also Legends

Thanks for all the ideas. I%26#39;m writing down Fire Creek Grill for next time.

As it turned out, we didn%26#39;t plan very well. Ended up at, of all places, Fuddruckers, for a sandwich Friday night. It wasn%26#39;t very good. But, you really can%26#39;t go out with nine people on Friday night and expect to get in anywhere at 8pm.

We went downtown at noon the next day and had fish %26amp; chips at the Royal Mile. It was a good choice for us.

Saturday night we did make reservations and went to Joe%26#39;s Crab Shack. Everyone had a good time. Food was ok, the waiter and my elderly mother in law ended up being the entertainment. It was a successful meal.

Thanks again.
