My wife and I will be attending the collegiate mock trial championship rounds with our son%26#39;s teams from the University of Virginia April 17-19 in downtown Des Moines. Does anyone know whether Prairie Meadows Racetrack %26amp; Casino offers any sort of shuttle to and from downtown? What about playing craps there? We are low stakes players--$5 minimums w/2X odds are about right for us.

I see on Prairie Meadows%26#39; web site that it offers a free shuttle service to some area hotels, but the hotels listed are all in the casino%26#39;s immediate vicinity. My suggestion would be to contact your hotel and ask about transportation to Prairie Meadows or to contact Prairie Meadows to see if shuttle service is available also to the downtown area: http://www.prairiemeadows.com/contactus.php.

I received word from Prairie Meadows that it does not provide transportation to or from downtown Des Moines, but it appears to be only 15 minutes drive. We%26#39;ll probably just catch a taxi at our hotel. The casino offers very favorable table minimums and odds for craps, so we%26#39;re looking forward to checking it out. Good luck to all!
