Does anyone know of a river or area to tube down in Iowa that also has lodging available (other than tents?).

Most of the tubing I%26#39;ve heard about is on rivers located in rural areas or parks where people camp. I have heard of an outfitter in north central Iowa called Rock and Row. Perhaps you could contact that company to see if they can transport your group to and from the tubing site to a hotel in one of the towns along their routes?

The Maquoketa River meanders around at a gentle pace good for tubing. You could try a basic chain hotel in the towns of Monticello or Maquoketa. Try calling the Chambers of Commerce in those towns for suggestions. Both towns have tube and canoe rental companies too.
Oh, and it%26#39;s completely worth it to rent the cooler tube for your beverages.
