I%26#39;m from Davenport but moved 20 years ago. Been back to visit many times but not since 2006. Coming for a short visit in early June to see Dad. Would appreciate any suggestions for ';can%26#39;t miss';. Restaurants, shops, sites. He lives in LeClaire so I%26#39;m familiar with the cute ';Main Street';.
Particularly looking for garden shops to help Dad do some planting, flowers, etc. Are there any ';public markets'; in the area?

Depending on your tastes, you may enjoy the Blue Cat Brew Pub on the riverfront in Rock Island. We (spouse and in-laws) have always enjoyed the tasty, innovative food and the beer selection. The Blue Cat is the highlight of our own ';can%26#39;t miss'; list in the Quad Cities.
