Hey I am going to be travelling through Cedar Rapids and the Des Moines on my way to Kansas City, are there any major road closures that I should be aware of and has the flooding gone down? I am just wondering if I should take a different route?
Flooding in Iowa, can I make it through the state?
There is still some flooding around the state, but the interstates through Des Moines, Iowa City and Cedar Rapids are open. There are state and county roads washed out in some places, so I recommend sticking to major highways and interstates as much as you can, but you should be able to get through Iowa OK.
