Resorts close to Des Moines

Hi,

Can any of you please suggest a resort with spa and golf course

around Des Moines to go for a weekend. I live in NY and have no idea about this place. Any suggestions will really help.

There are a number of golf courses around Des Moines, but I don%26#39;t know of any that are exclusively affiliated with a resort. If you%26#39;re willing to drive a bit, here are a few other ideas:

- Pella, Iowa (30 - 40 mins. from Des Moines): Bos Landen is a nice golf course. I%26#39;m not sure if there%26#39;s a spa, but you could call or e.mail to find out. Here%26#39;s Bos Landen%26#39;s web site: http://www.greatgolfiniowa.com/default.htm. Pella is a small but charming community that definitely celebrates its Dutch heritage. - Amana Colonies, Iowa (about 90 mins. from Des Moines): There%26#39;s a nice golf course amidst 7 quaint villages that feature shopping, communal style restaurants, and history. There also are some nice B%26amp;Bs in the area. - Fairfield, IA (about 2 hrs. from Des Moines): If you are interested in New Age or Ayurvedic lifestyles, try the Raj spa: http://www.theraj.com/. There is a 9 hole golf course in Fairfield.
