We are considering a trip to Iowa for biking. Any input on the Cedar Valley Trail or Raccoon River Trails as to which is more scenic, provides more services (lodging and dining), etc. Any other suggestions would also be appreciated -- we will be driving from Wisconsin.
Cedar Valley or Raccoon River Trails for Best Biking?
This might require a coin toss! Both trails are nice and fairly comparable in terms of services and scenery, so I don%26#39;t think you%26#39;ll go wrong either way. Cedar Valley is closer for you, but the Des Moines area (Raccoon Valley) probably has more pre- or post-biking activities. Des Moines also has a network of nice urban bike trails that link to the Raccoon Valley trail, so you can get a different biking perspective that way.
