What are your interests?

attractions

and when are you going to be there?

The Iowa Great Lakes are a great place to visit. Look up Okoboji or Spirit Lake, there are great hotels, lots of things for singles, couples and even families to do! It%26#39;s a great place to be in the summer and if you visit in the winter the winter games are the last week of january and are a hit with all ages.

Oh!! and I should add that the world%26#39;s largest county fair is in Spencer, Iowa... it%26#39;s also great place to visit during September.

Also if you are in NW Iowa don%26#39;t forget to visit West Bend to see the Grotto of the Redemption.

The villages of Van Buren County (SE Iowa) are very picturesque, yet off the beaten path: http://www.villagesofvanburen.com/

Cedar Rapids Art Museum has a great collection of Grant Woods paintings.

NE Iowa is quite scenic with lots of great Mississippi river views.

Burlington Iowa is a picturesque river town built on 4 hills overlooking the Mississippi. The North Hill area has a large number of victorian/historic type homes with several B%26amp;Bs. In addtion there are several very nice large parks including Crapo park on a high bluff overlooking the river. One of the parks has a municipal swimming pool. The town also has a water park type of rec place that I believe also includes gambling. North of town there is the Starrs cave park area along the Flint creek with a number of trails. The Big Hollow recreation area NW of town has a large number of hiking trails.

Again, it depends on your interests.
