What do you do to break up the long winter with you kids??

We have teenagers and the weekends have gotten so boring. My boys aren%26#39;t in basketball and there just doesn%26#39;t seem to be anything fun for us.

What do you do??

My family%26#39;s started doing the tourism thing, even being in Des Moines for years!

Lately, we%26#39;ve been to the zoo (yup, in the winter!) but, not all of the exhibits are open, so it was a shorter visit... we%26#39;ve been to the botanical center, which is a balmy temp, even for January! No jackets needed in there! This past weekend, we even checked out the capitol. My husband enjoyed exploring the dome, which was open %26amp; very quiet!

If your family is outdoorsy, head to boone, and go skiing/snowboarding! It%26#39;s inexpensive, %26amp; they make their own snow.
